I'm currently running a 5.1 HT system as you can see in my signature. I've debating for some time now weather I should go 7.1 with the likes of maybe FXIA4's or add an additional sub for double bass in yo face. A local electronics shop where I'm from (Toronto, Canada) has my same Velo DSL5000R on sale for a very reasonable price. What in everyone's opinion would be a more substantial improvement to my current setup? For what it's worth...I think I'm leaning towards the sub. Thanks for all opinions in advance.;)

I would go with the sub. It will give you the biggest additional impact. More and more DVD's are utilizing the back channels, and 7.1 is nice when either the DVD utilizes it, or when your processor can do a good job creating it. But another sub is definetly going to give you a more noticable impact.

I agree... Grab the extra sub. 7.1 is nice, but most people don't have the room layout to accomadate it correctly.
