They look to be SDA-2B to me.

Nice speakers. They are the entry point for SDA's. I have a pair myself.

Many Thanks. I had spent most of yesterday looking at old threads about the 2B's. 'nspindel' had one that piqued my interest the most, and helped in the ID department.
I believe they may be added to the fold.

They look to be in good shape. How much are they asking for them??

    I wouldn't go much over 200-250 personally.

    They're probably 2B's and are blade/blade, I wouldn't spend more than $150-200.

Certainly 2B's and early ones because of the blade/blade. The pic isn't very clear but that doesn't look the original sl2000 tweeter. It's hard to tell from the small photo.

If they are RD0 replacements (in both speakers) might be worth a little more. Depending on condition and if you can inspect and P.U. yourself $250 isn't out of range.

H9, I believe you're correct, it does look like a replacement tweeter. If that's the case, and both speakers have them, that will definitely increase their value.

Thanks everyone for the replies. According to seller, they have the original boxes, original IC. Asking 350.00, but we haven't argued that yet.
I appreciate the price range estimates, very helpful.
    I will let you know.
I did see from several of the threads that this model seems to respond favorably to the '4.1TL' upgrade.
That and the need for coliseum sized rooms is diminished somewhat for proper sound.

You can't do the TL upgrade on the blade/blade model.

If this is a local pick up item then, IMO, it's always work a little extra as large shipped speakers don't always travel well. If they are vg+ to mint with the SDA cable, original boxes and a pair of new RD0 tweeters they are worth atleast $300, IMO. But it never ever hurts to try and negotiate.

If they are local then I assume they are in Alaska and he may negotiate with oyu because it's going to cost a lot to ship other parts of the US from there. Use that as a negotiating tool.

    Good luck

There you go. Proof that a little bit of knowledge, coupled with unbridled enthusiasm, is a recipe for bad things.
No they aren't local, nothing is around here except for moose, fish and mosquitos.
    Thanks again for the insight.

SL 2000's are a silver colored tweeter (Fish eye) with a black mounting plate. The SL 3000's were entirely black in color but were id'd by a black foam ring around the tweeter, which the RDO's don't have.

RDO's are black in color and a silk dome tweeter.

Some people see the older ones (SL's) as a holy grail of sorts, something to be cherished like family, and the RDO's are an unneeded, unecessary, and unwanted replacement.

Other's, you will find, believe very strongly otherwise. The disagreement and ensuing literary jousting makes for some very interesting reading. :D

I will not suggest to you the upgrade, that choice is yours.
    I did, and enjoy them.
