A Bad Mounth

I want to begin my telling why I am writing this. The truth is I don know why I am but here it goes. About a month ago at the dairy place I was working. The supervisor decided that I was no longer needed in the maintenance filed. What I was responsible for was lubrication and maintenance of the machinery. They asked me this about two months ago if I was up for it. Instead of pallettizing product which is back breaking work. So I took the offer. So about 3 weeks into it I was told by the supervisor my boss and quite a few other people that I was doing great. Wow I though I had better keep this up, so I did.

So about a month ago the supervisor comes to me and says if you dont meet my expectations your going back to palletizing. Well I went to my boss and asked him what he meant he told me that what I was doing was great work just keep it up. So I keep doing my job coming in everyday 6 days a week. About once a week the supervisor would come to me and say this same thing. Than about 3 weeks ago he said I don't think you meet them and sent me back to paletizing. Well about two days after he did this a main berring failed in one of the machines it took maintenance the entire shift to fix the problem. Now they were blaming the supervisor and he was blaming me. Well I told him that that barring gets done everyday and no one has done it in two days and I am no longer in charge of that.

Well so he said that was true but from than on he blamed me for anything related to lubrication. Well I had just about enought about 2 weeks ago when he came to me and said do you enjoy your new job.
I was hot but I smiled and said yes I do. Than he started giving me the crappy jobs cleaning backed on milk off of pipes and stuff like that. Well when he told me that if I don't get my A$$ in gear I am out of there well my next day was my birthday so I just took it and went home. So I thought it over the entire day. Enough is enough I said so on the 30th I cam to work walked into his office sat down and told him I was done. :) is all he did than he said that's good because for one I never thought you were cut out for this place, and second he said I was going to fire you anyway. The last thing he did was ask when do you want your last day to be. I said today he said I think thats the best. So I left.

But I just have had it with jerks that love to push you around. the kicker was the many people including the vice president was surprised that for one I was kicked out of maintenance and two that I had quite. I love how things dont get to everyone. Well that's that. So here I am looking for a job.

Certainly no reason to stick around if you don't want to. That being said, in a large workplace such as that there's always going to be someone that rubs you the wrong way or pisses you off. Unfortunately, those people sometimes are above you and you need to ride it out as best you can. That supervisor may end up losing his job or moving on sometime soon and then you may have been in someone's good graces again; he obviously had it out for you, and that's no fun at all.

Good luck in wherever you end up, sounds like you're a hard worker and you'll do just fine.

I have a friend who used to work for the TSA. He said many of the people he worked with should be behind bars.

It's always amazing how some guy will go to great effort to be a PITA.
I've known a couple. Worked for a couple. And you have to know when to
bail. Sad that the other management types didn't do something.
But that's always the way it works. The guy has gotten in the habit of
getting his own way. Good news is those guys sooner or later shoot
themselves in the foot. Go on to something better.

Hire a lawyer and sweat the jackass. Unlawful discharge, descrimination, charge him with everything. Believe me, he will sweat and TSA will pay. I'll be he has no paper documentation. It will take some time so get a new job. Sweat this **** over a trial for year to come. Take comfort in knowing you can end this guy's career.

I'm going to agree with Carl,,the jerk needs to be able to prove(in writing,by specific example) that your job performance is/was the issue. If he cannot do that, then you need to sweat his A$$. Good luck--george
