This is getting a little ridiculous I mean come on 11.2 channels. Were would you put that many. I probably couldn't event put that many on my house yet alone in a threater room. Why is there that many channels? Why was this even made?

Meh, it seems they have four zones, I could easily see distributing 11 "channels" among four zones, even in my smallish house.

5.1 in the "theater" room, and then 3 other rooms with two channels each? Seems complicated, but reasonable for a whole-house system.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

This is how Yamaha has it. It's made just for one room.

Ha! Then I agree that is ridiculous unless your room is the size of a warehouse :)

Doesn't say much for Yami's speaker imaging. Does it come with 500' of wire?

When I built my audio room, I prewired it for a 10.2 speaker configuration. Tomlinson Holman (as in THX) has been experimenting with this format for some time. It would be interesting to hear a demo of this receiver in a properly configured room.

I'm thinking its a gimmick to take the focus off of Yamaha's "Natural" sound. :D

That's what I was thinking... After I calibrated, the imaging was fantastic. :D

    11.2 is silly.
