Has anyone purchased from the ebay store? Are POLK refurbs any good compared to new.

Just bidded on two items (very low bid) and didn't expect to win but I did.

Polk RTI A5 $256
Polk RTI a1 $82
_____
$338

My current ht set I paid

POLK RTI a5 $750 new
POLK RTI a1 $275 new

I hope the refurbs hold up.

wow nice grabs --- they have some good deals on their a7's & a9's also

I would trust polk with refurbs as their customer service,as I have read, is second to none.

I bought a pair of RTi6 refurbs froms them, 1 had a minor crack in the veneer (which fits within their 'minor blemish' advisory). Had I bought elsewhere, I'd be concerned that the thing took a header and insides would be scrambled, but given the source and waranty I'm not worried. hooking up tommorrow

I hope since I got them the cheapest prices thus far they don't give me the worse speakers.

XANDRA where was the crack in the veneer? How long did the speakers take to come in the mail, and how were they packaged

    Thanks

Polk's ebay store is very reliable and the products are often just like new. The refurb warranty is 180 days for speakers versus five years for new. The ebay ad redirects you to their site where you can read up on this information. Enjoy your new Polks.

I just received my speakers I purchased from POLK AUDIO DIRECT on EBAY. These things look and smell brand new. Not one mark on any of the speakers. I am a very satisfied customer.

Can't wait to my next off day (wednesday) to see how they sound compared to my new ones.

Refurb doesnt always mean it's been blown up.....alot of ppl make stories up to get the store to take them back because they made the rash decision initially to buy them....Id say that happens more than we know....

i've been checking it out for the last couple of days, but its been dwindling down to 11 items, down to 10, and now down to about 8 items I think. will there be anymore things added anytime soon you think? I might need to add something to my new setup soon.

Where are you located? I'm selling my speakers I got from them two weeks ago. Never even played them. I only bought them because I put a low bid in and never expected to win. I was going to set up another surround in my living room but I'm doing 2 channel only. Got a hold of some LSI 9's for a good price. I would let the RTI's go for what I paid for them.
