Monitor 10 - MW6503

Ok, hooked my amp up to my Monitor 10 (series II). Volume was low and I heard a sound like falling water. (was not in the music that should have been playing.) I put my ear near the speaker and white smoke started coming out from under the grill cloth. (alot of it)

It appears that my woofers were the source of the smoke. They still play, but the volume seems a little lower than the right speaker. The stereo image is definately favoring the right side now. The tweeter seems a little discolored now, but that may be from the smoke. The highs seem to be unaffected.

I have not pulled the crossover yet to see if anything there was damaged.

My question is, does Polk still carry the MW6503 woofers and if so, what should I expect to give for them?

Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

    I inquired for the price for the midwoofers for my Model 10Bs... i think they were like $70 IIRC... can't remember as it was a couple months ago...

    I thought the new stock "MW" drivers were the same cost as the RD0's @ $48 w/CP discount.

    I guess call Polk and see, then post your findings here.

    I bought some MW6511's recently and paid $48 shipped. Of course the price could have gone up.
