Hell, why not for $80. As a few around here will tell ya....get your ears on as many pair of speakers as u can, at least for the education.

I'd think if they are in good working order, the ribbons are probably worth that much alone.

That's what I was thinking it was after I googled the name and that's ALL that came up. Too far of a trip for me! Good luck....I hope that's the correct price! Always act as fast as you can and if there is a phone number, call it first and tell them you are on the way.

well, the seller just contacted me... the good news is that the price is $80... the bad news is... it has been sold...

when asked why so low a price, she said it was 20 years old and too big.

I mentioned they were worth a lot more than $80.

    She said like how much...

I said at least $500 or more.

She said "for a 20 year old speaker!!!! I really did not need to know that now!!!"

    :(

actually, I kinda feel bad now telling her it was worth a lot more. She really did not know its real value and whoever bought from her took advantage of the situation. Under the circumstances, i probably would have paid her a few hundred instead of $80.

Jon, sorry to see you missed out on a true treat. I have a pair of Infinity RS-II and love them. I would pay ten times her asking price for a fully operating pair, even more if I didn't already have the RS-II. The two bad things about them is that the woofer foam normally has to be replaced. I just had mine done by Bill Watkins (the inventor of the woofer). The second thing is they require an amplifier that can put out a lot power at a very low inperdence. Other than that, they are wonderful.

I'll stop since I know this is a Polk forum. I'm a new member, just picked up a pair of Model 7c. Very nice.
