What is the better rti8 or rti10?
Hi sorry for my english first
I want buy speakers from rti 8 or 10 series, with csi3, rti 4, and psw 505. Receiver yamaha rx-v1800. Which of rti 8 and 10 more detalized of the sound quality, but i'am not interesing in loud bass from speakers, because I use it with the psw 505. What is you thinking about rti 8 and rti 10?
Thanks you for your attention

Welcome to the forum; if you use the search function you'll probably find many threads discussing this topic, and including also the RTi12 in the mix.
I have the RTi8's with a good sub and am happy with them.
The one thing I would recommend is that you go with the CSi5 for center instead of the CSi3. Big improvement (and here most people agree).
Where are you located? Buying used or new? Not many retailers have that line anymore....._________________________________________________

I heared than csi 5 is beter than csi 3, but there is a one problem in csi 5..... it's very big . I read forum about csi5, and many people told that they upgreate csi3 and sound be came better. And there are one problem... I'am from Latvia and there not oficial dealer polk audio . I hear many times from people that polk audio is the best speakers for this price, but I never hear that , I want order this speakers, but I worry about sound quality:eek:
Thank you for your attention -
Well FWIW,, I bought a pair of RTi 8's, did not get to hear them until I got them home,,I was NOT disappointed. For me, I found it to be an easy speaker to drive with smaller amplificatiom,as long as you know the limits of your amp. Good luck, and welcome to Club Polk.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Yes it is -- but if there's anyway in hell you can fit it in your setup, it's more than worth it. The 5's a major upgrade (I've had both CSi3 & CSiA6 (the current iteration of the CSi5) and the A6 is really glorious, and if you're going with 8's or 10's, I think they'd overpower the CSi3.LR Setup:

Well I hope the RTi8's are good! I was going to buy a pair of 10s but the 8's were less than half price after shipping ($150 each). Can't wait to try them out with the CSi5 that arrives tomorrow!KEF Q150 | Rythmik F12 | Yamaha Aventage RX-A780

URGENT HELP needed - Please help me out...
My current HT config is
- Onkyo SR805 receiver
- Polk CSi A6 (Center)
- Velodyne DLS-3500R (Sub-woofer)
- 2 Bose JewelCube Speaker (front left and front right)
- 3 Bose JewelCube Speakers (3 back surround - left, center, right)
- others - PS3, A35, etc.
I have been wanting to replace my speaker configuration slowly away from Bose to the Polk speakers. Now that I have the CSiA6, I have been looking for a good deal on Polk front floor-standing speakers to match my CSiA6.
I had been waiting for a good deal on the RTi10/RTi12 (for no particular reason other than them being the best reviewed). But seeing today's Fry's ad for the RTi8 being at $149 each, I am being tempted to go for this.
What would you suggest - do I go with the RTi8 to match my CSiA6 or should I wait for a deal on the RTi10/RTi12?
Thanks for your suggestions... -
I say go for it. I doubt the SR805 will do the 10s or 12's justice and at 149 a piece it's hard to complain about the price.Proud SOPA Member since 2005!

I have LSi Center speaker. Is it as good as CSi A6? I think i am going to sell it and upgrade to a speaker center speaker such as CSi A6.Samsung UN46C8000

going from LSiC to CSi A6 is not an upgrade IMO...I would keep LSiC and get matching LSi series speakers...since LSi series are considered top modelVideo: LG 55LN5100/Samsung LNT4065F

Thank you! I am going to get a pair of RTi8 as my surround speakers. Fry's electronic sells it for $299 from $400 to $300, which is a good deal for me.Samsung UN46C8000

Thanks, I took your advise and went for it. Bought it at Fry's Fremont CA at $300 for a pair.
Apparently, all Frys have only Black RTi8s in stock (no Cherry's). As of yesterday (Sunday) evening, Sunnyvale Frys had about 3 in stock, and Fremont Frys had about 6 to 7 in stock. -
If anyone is looking for them in cherry, Frys has it online, but you'll have to pay for shipping. It's cheaper to ship them separately than as a single order.
