Monitor 5A Speakers

Hello Everyone
This is my first post in the Polk Forum, hello to you all!
I do consider myself a Polkie from long ago, though.
I just picked up a pair of Monitor 5A's and cannot find much info on them.
They are a beautiful pair. My last Polk's were babies compaired to these, but saying that, these 5A's are just what I wanted both in size and in speaker makeup.
I have not hooked them up yet but think they are 4ohm speakers, however, I dont have a 4ohm compatable amp. I only have a NAD 7030 Reciever which does'nt offer 4ohm hookup. I would love to run them at 4ohm.
Is there any problem with just plugging them into my NAD and running them, I presume at 8ohm?
Also, if any of you happen to have info or experience with these Monitor 5A's it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Hello and welcome!! Monitor 5's were my first Polks and I still have a pair in my computer office rig. Your NAD will run those absolutely fine. They are closer to 6 ohm nominal and aren't a very difficult load to drive. Your NAD is beefy enough to drive them with no issues
Enjoy and stick around.

Ignore the local "politics" so to speak and the squabbles that break out now and again. This is one of the best forums around on the whole.

OK thanks heiney.
You get that in any forum. As they say, "There's one in every crowd".
Sometimes there's more than one.
