Rti12, new to me.
I just picked up a pair of Rti12's to replace some older mission 735's. I have been enjoying my CS350 LS center since installing it last year. I am NOT an audiophile, and I am a cheap SOB. I know folks say I should timbre match my speakers, and the 350 is not matched to my 12's, but am I, a non audiophile, not too critical listener, in a Home theater environment (NO music only) going to notice or even care about the timbre mismatch?? Heck none of my speakers are currently matched (Boston 575x dipole, sides,Energy XL-r bipole, rears, infinite baffle sub) and I "think" it sounds fine. I don't want to sound like a newbie heretic but I want to defer to y'alls experience in these areas.
All of the speakers are run by a Lexicon MC-1 and individually amped. I plan to Biamp the 12's with what I have available, 2 200W Accusonic monoblocks for the low and Niles SI 125w/ch for the highs. From searching the forums I assume this will be enough power.
I know upgradeitis will eventually get me and I'll get a Csi5...but for now are my ears going to break from the CS350 Rti12 pairing???

Welcome to Club Polk.....
Enjoy your speakers how you like. Like you say it's your money and equipment. Curious to the post however? But enjoy the 12's...give them power and feel the power!Retired Onkyo 520 (returned broken HK 247)

Looks like I just answered my own question. I Just installed the Rti12's and WOW!!! I haven't even bi amped them yet. But 200w was very nice. I can't wait to run the wire tonight.
I could not feel anything awkward in the sound fields between Left Center Right. It just sounded terrific to me. My luck and I'll go to audiophiles house here matched speakers and off to buy a new speaker I'll go....thanks! HA!Center- (2) CS350ls

Welcome Rabies!
If you check my signature, you will notice that none of my speakers match either & I think it sounds great.
I'm listening to the music/movies I'm not listening to notice if whether the sound is slightly different from the left to the center to the right to the back 2 speakers. So long as sound is coming out I'm happy!
So long as I know my speakers are operating to thier full potential, I'm ecstatic!
Keep feeding those babies 200wpc & everyone will be very happy. No biwiring required!Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
I run our 12's with 200 wpc on the low end and 125 wpc on the upper end.
You will like the end result...but I'm sure 500 wpc would be even better:D
