Is there an option when trying to set the ignore feature to make it so you do not see threads started by people on your ignore list?

Just wondering.

No doubt. I just put him on ignore last night but his threads are still there. :(

What? No one here knows how to ignore someone in general?
Just pronounce"you are dead to me now" and move on.
Easy. Just make sure to have on your dark pinstripe suit
and light up a good cigar first.

Hey, I just tried it last night. I thought that when you put someone on ignore that you wouldn't see there posts. I'm new to this ignore stuff. All I'm saying is that I was a little shocked to still see the threads by someone I wasn't expecting to read crap from again.

I've had him on ignore for quite a long time now and you get used to quickly spotting his posts and ignoring them. And even if you do accidentally click, you don't see his text unless someone quoted it. But yeah, it'd be nice if you didn't see the threads at all.

Accidentally? Hmmmmm.... from what little I've seen, it's a very accident prone board lately ;)

Some guys using the ignore feature don't want a "Don't see new threads started by ..."
feature, as much as they want a "ah ha !!! you are on my Ignore list !!!" feature,
which is IMHO what this thread is about.

That said, this post is also very Ignore worthy :)

    Damn, that's a great idea.

JB, can you make that happen?

    Ignore feature now thats funny

how about just growing up and being more mature than the poster and moving on ?

answering, commenting on a thread that rubs you the wrong way is only a positive for the **** you wanted to ignore

works best just to pass on by..if ya read and dont like it pass it on by.....

if everyone did this believe me the OP in question will slowly fade to black..as long as they get attention any way they can it will continue....

wow now i am guilty of not following my advice ;)

To me the ignore feature is not a way to somehow curtail an uncontrollable need to post on a topic I'm not interested in -- I can restrain myself perfectly well. But I do like to use it sparingly so that I don't have to read posts from someone that either rubs me the wrong way or tends to post useless and annoying things. Whether or not you use it is your choice, but the feature is there for a reason and I don't see how turning it on should in any way indicate a certain level of maturity.
