My girlfriend and I just saw this tonight. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I walked in the theater. Would there be other people there my age? Would it be empty? Or, even worse, would it be FULL of 8 - 13 year olds coughing, sneezing, jumping up and down, running down the aisle, making all kinds of fuss throughout the movie? And, even worse still, would it prove to be the kind of mindless animated movie that can keep only those 8 - 13 year olds entertained?
Well, I have to say up front, my hesitations were NOT warranted in the least! The opening scene was HILARIOUS, and though it took a sudden twist after the little intro and changed gears slightly (just slightly), it NEVER got dull, boring, or too stupid. It was VERY funny throughout the entire movie, and at least 75% of it was just FLAT OUT HILARIOUS!
No, there's no great story line. No, there's no great morals. No, there's no profundities to be gleaned from watching this movie. No, you don't have to pay attention and keep up with things to follow it. No, there's no huge intellectual reward for having watched it.
(However, there is an awesome quote early on in the movie: "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.")
YES, you can turn your brain off, totally relax, let your sense of humor take control (or not...the movie will bring it to the forefront soon enough anyways), and just get ready to laugh your head off. Because you definitely will.
A VERY entertaining, COMPLETELY clean movie that's appropriate for ANY group, and is sure to entertain.
So, go watch it and have a few laughs!

Nothing wrong with that! I took my fiancee to see it; she loves action and animated movies, so it was a no-brainer!! -
Oh yeah, it was awesome. We both loved it.George Grand wrote: »
