Got stress?

The problem, such as it is, might partially be that you feel that you have to do something.
As you mentioned, you're probably healthier and in better shape than you've been in 20 years, eating good, low fat, veggies, and running 3-4 miles a day 4 or 5days a week.
While others have given excellent advice on what you can do to relieve your out-of-sync feeling (and it has been excellent advice), sometimes the best thing to do is ....... nothing.
Sit back. Enjoy the show.
Realize that you've done your part in getting it into the ballpark of where you want to be, now sit back and let stuff unfold.
Just watch .... observe .... see if The Big Guy Upstairs is trying to give you a suggestion or heads-up on something.
Catch the hints, and life gets synched back up, life is good.
Don't catch them, or ignore them, and .... well, at the exteme, that winds up with people using the phrase "Why do bad things happen to good people".
Definitely not saying something bad is going to happen, just saying that life can sometimes get synched back up by doing ... nothing.
Go with the flow, and enjoy the show !

I'm mainly worried that troy will go nutso and pull the trigger to eliminate half the worlds population.

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
Edification, thats whats we call it, we dig.
Its a lot of time spent in the woods by yourself or with friends, hard work, a vision that you see to completion, artistic expression and very rewarding.
Its not for everyone but I know for myself, when I come in the house I am just too tired to feel stress.
When you are done you get the thrill of riding the jumps and berms and the satisfaction of seeing the joy as other people get to partake in the fruits of your labor.
Thats what I do for stress and many of my friends as well, I really fear the day when I am to old to do it anymore, because I really don't know of anything that could compare.
ahhh yes...

When I was playing hockey twice a week I had 0 stress. When you get done playing 3 20 min. periods you are way to tired to stress over anything. Play, go home, spa, lots o' rubbin' by the wife, repeat.:)"I drank what?" Socrates

SWFalken, that's part of the problem. The wife is a half a world away. He's in Korea and she is in America. I'm sure that's not helping things. But I do know this. Troy's a tough cookie and he'll bounce back to normal sometime soon. Sometimes it's good just to talk about what's on your mind and vent.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Troy, how old are you? If you're close to 40 or over, get your blood tested (hormone levels). Low levels of testosterone are a major cause for mood swings. I think everything else has been covered in this thread already, and I wanted to throw that out there in case you're not aware of what andropause is.

treitz, My apologies to Troy. I did not realize his situation. I have nothing more to offer than prayers that his situation gets easier and the he can be back with his family soon."I drank what?" Socrates

SWFalken (btw, is that a reference to War Games?)....no sweat man....and to the rest, I appreciate all the advice.
You know, I think the trick is to just disconnect and just vegetate for a little bit.
Sami, funny you should mention that. I've already done that whole thing a couple years ago. I don't make testosterone so I'm taking replacements and I can tell when I'm out of synch with that.
Anyway, I appreciate all the kind thoughts and words....and I've gotten some good ideas, so thanks! You guys rock.

TroyD, Yes it is a reference to War Games and you are only the second or third person to notice or say anything about it in 10+ years of using this name on various forums."I drank what?" Socrates

I'm sure that you're probably already doing this, but masturbation is supposed to a great stress reliever.:p:eek:;)"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Very cool (but cheezy) movie. I don't know why but it is one of those that I always watch when it comes on the tube...even though I have the DVD and have seen it a thousand times. Another one is Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
And no...it's not a man-crush on Matthew Broderick..."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais
