Magnum Dynalab MD-205 Signal Sleuth - Black - 9/10 - *SOLD* to Norm Apter
If you are an FM nut and need some help bringing in your favorite stations....this is the ticket. I bought it but rarely listen to FM and I'm trying to clean up my rack. This really lets you fine tune your tuner and clean up stations.
The unit comes with full factory warranty of 2 years. If you have any issues, just drop me a line and I'll ensure you get fixed. Here's some factory information:
Amplifies weak FM signals cleanly
Attenuates strong, harsh signals without coloration
Stabilizes FM antenna (and FM cable) signals
Separates interfering adjacent-station signals
Reduces multipath problems
Signal amplification variable from -10dB thru +30dB (30 times to gain) to bring weak stations to full quieting* and tame strong, harsh, local signals
Full tunability with a "hi Q," 400 KHz bandwidth. This adds some 70dB+ in Spurious Response selectivity
An electronic antenna switching system to bypass the SLEUTH's amplifier when not needed. Also with the SLEUTH's direct "in/out" Antenna Signal switching system, instant A/B comparison is always available
The connections have been cleaned up with CAIG Pro-Gold and its packed to withstand an atomic blast. At the very least you can brag about having some Magnum Dynalab gear in your rack.
Includes: Original everything.

Sweet! I can't wait to hook this up to the Halo T3 I got a few weeks back. I think I'm probably going to go for one of those Magnum Dynalab STR-2 antennas you mentioned a while back, as well.
As for local stations, there has been one in particular that I've been itching to get. Its a jazz station (KKJZ 88.1) broadcast out of Long Beach, some 21 miles south of where I live and, according to the nifty radio locator website that Bikezappa made me aware of, it has a signal strength of 4 (a little lower than others nearby). I've tried all kinds of dipole antennas and rabbit ears and it just won't come in cleanly. I'm hoping that the combo mentioned above will help out a bit.2 Ch.
