    I'd have to rate this as the best mini-series of all time. "Centennial" and "Lonesome Dove" come close, but no cigar.

    I own the set and really can't wait for it to come out on BluRay.

    +1. One of the greatest things ever put to film. And I'm not a war movie buff (I like well-made ones just as much as any other movie but don't go out of my way to see war movies).

    I've seen it in bits and pieces back when it was on TV. Can't wait to systematically work my way through the system from start to finish. . . then, regift to a relative once completed and later get it on BluRay :)

    If anyone is interested, there are several used on Amazon for the same price (around $30 + shipping) since I stole this deal!
