Good Center Channel to go with LSi9s? Excluding LSiC
Done some reading and have seen on numerous occasions that people are disappointed in their LSiC. With a budget of $350, what would be a good center channel that would be a better fit than the LSiC? If LSiC is my best option at that price point, then I will audition it. If not, I need recommendations!!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Personally, I think an LSiC would be your best fit, but some have used a single LSi9 as well.
Any reason you don't like the LSiC option (considering, I assume, you have not heard it yet)?
Columbia is only about 5 hours away from me - you are welcome to drop by any time for a demo..Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms) -
all hearsay really, since I am 75/25 HT/Music, having a higher volume for dialog is important to me, just from what I've read the LSiC doesn't get too loud. Music would be 2 channel anyway.TV: LG 55LW5600

It sounds pretty good at my place but I do think many of the problems that have been reported with the LSiC are placement, setup or room acoustics related. There are many who love the LSiC and, as with everything else, a few who don't.
My best advice would be to pick one up used and turn around and sell it if you don't like it or something better comes along. (By purchasing used, you should be able to sell it for close to what you paid)
Get your listen on and decide for yourself if it is worth it or not...

I just got a 'C' and hooked it up. I love it. I was using a Hsu center that came from my last set of HT speakers and the 'C' sounds much better. The sound flows into the 15s, my fronts, yet still delivers great separation as the sound moves across the field.

Well I own a LSiC and have no problems with it for HT. Give it a listen yourself if possible and then you can truly make the correct decision for yourself. Good luck.Michael

How would the LSI 9 be an improvement over the LSI c and it has the same speakers?

I haven't heard this, but for the price I can't think of any other speaker with a ring tweeter that might sound anything like an LSiC...
