After more than 3 years of driving my MB Quart components.. my C400 front left channel is crackling and sounding scratchy.. Played around with the 4 channels and isolated it to the front left channel only. I have contacted POLK regarding repair costs etc.. but i was wondering if anyone else ever had a blown channel and repaired it themselves? Any schematics anywhere?

Umm what about the speakers themselves? Sounds like speaker damage imho. I've never heard of a single amp channel going bad... usually they all go funny when it happens.

I actually spent an hour switching around connections and whatever speaker was attached to that channel was crakling... At first I thought it was one of my MB Quart crossovers but switching around connections proved otherwise..

You switched the RCAs as well correct?

I highly doubt they'll post a schematic of one.
