Might be kind of obvious, but do you really need a crossover? Why not just hook the sub up to the LFE out on your AVR and use the crossover built into the AVR? (one of my subs is passive with no crossover and it works great that way)

Edit - sorry, meant hook your Carver up to the LFE out on your AVR and hook the speaker outs on your carver directly to the woofers in your subs? (might want to put some binding post plates in place of the amp hole. Get some decent binding posts, and you are done...)
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

If you would normally use the LFE the crossover dosnt matter anyway because the LFE bypass the crossover. I second McLoki just use the avr.
If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

Personally I would just hook up the speakers through the LFE and if you want the ability to fine tune, put about $85 twords a BFD. (I have one and its great)
