I lust for a power amp. Therefore, I'm going 2CH for now through my AVR and will shoot up to fancier speakers and amps later.

CSi3 - I bought this from devani (thanks man, it's beautiful and sounds great!) last month or so, and it's been sitting in my TV stand since. I think he rated it an 8/10, so let's stick with that. Cherry, pretty, we all know what it looks like. I'm hoping to get $110 shipped CONUS as I have to spring for packaging (I try to commit to purchases by shedding the manufacturers boxes so I can't turn around and resell. Looks like it bit me in the back end this time) but I'll just go through the UPS store or Kinkos and surrender an arm and a leg to ship this ground to the lower 48.

Monitor 30s - Cherry, bought from Polk Direct two weeks ago, work great as surrounds but again, taking the rig in a different direction. 9/10, look like new, let's try to get $75 shipped CONUS. These will ship in the Polk box.

I'll get some pictures up in a little bit when my son takes his nap and I can safely unhook things without arousing interest. All offers appreciated, thanks for looking!

Just being conservative. It looks flawless, but if you get real close you can see a scratch or two.

I actually threw the whole kit and kaboodle up on eBay yesterday afternoon for anyone interested in looking at pictures.

    I'm going all-in for full-range fronts.

    Thats funny..

It sound like your doing the exact same thing I am doing.

I built a complete 5.1 system consisting of 4 RTi4's one CSi3 and a SVS sub. Then decided it wasn't what I was looking for. I didn't get the kind of satisfaction out of it like I did out of my dedicated 2 - channel rig.

I've now sold everything and have bought a pair of LSi's and a decent source. I am still trying to decide which way to go for amplification..

I'll be curious to see were you go in your audio journey and if it was what you were looking for.

    Keep us posted.;)

I got a NAD C270 off A'Gon yesterday which will drive most anything I throw at it well... unless I decide I want to try out tubes.

The whole audio market is so geared toward HT these days it's hard as a newbie to come in and realize there is even a stereo world to enjoy. And seriously, 90% of what I listen to (CDs, radio, iPod, most television, many older movies) is stereo or at the least has a stereo track.

For people who live for action DVDs and such, HT kicks monster ****. For me, it's overkill in the wrong places.

Have you had any experience with separates like the C270?

I am just asking cause I think I would like a little more power. 120wpc doesn't seem like enough for lets say. Something like a Lsi9 or Lsi15.

I have owned a B&K ST140 that was a great amp at 105wpc but wasn't enough in the long run. It always left me wanting more.

Thats why I ask if you have had any experience with such equiptment. If you have than you are probably familiar with the output capabilities of such amp and i would assume are happy with such.

I think I tend to listen to music a little louder than some. Or at least at times anyway. I like to know the powers going to be there when I need it.

    Just me thinking out loud.:o

Sorry to crap up your thread.

Either way have fun and let us know how it turns out.

It's cool, the sale thread is kind of on hold until the auction ends anyway (thanks for your patience, those who've PM'd me! It might be rewarded!).

I don't have experience with separates, and this is my first real amp. As I understand it, however, the NAD has gobs of power. The specs on its near-identical successor read:
    2 x 150W Minimum Continuous Power into 4/8 ohms
    220W, 340W, 460W IHF Dynamic Power into 8, 4 and 2 ohms, respectively
    PowerDrive™

So it should have a good amount of headroom and be able to drive the LSis like they're nothing. An LSi9 is two mids and a tweet, and no review or evaluation I've read described them as abnormally thirsty. Maybe a budget AVR wouldn't be up to snuff, but a beefy amp with a good sized transformer? GTG.

Such are my hopes, at least. My budget is pretty tapped now, so once I get these sold I'll explore my speaker options with my chosen "holdover" towers whose name I won't speak here.

I'm interested in the monitor 30's if you still have them. $75 shipped seems like a fair price. I live in PA so shipping shouldn't be too expensive. I can't send PM's yet since i'm new so i'll have to use email (cdn5003@psu.edu). Paypal is my preferred method of payment.

Let me know if you still have them!
    HT Setup: Onkyo 706; Rotel RB-1075; Rti A3; Csi A6; Fxi3's

2 CH: Squeezebox Touch; Dared SL-2000a; GoldenEar Triton 5 or Lsi9's; Parasound 2125; SVS SB12-NSD; Music Hall DAC 25.2

You're second in line for them if a previous buyer decides to shop elsewhere.

Sorry cdn, the Monitor 30 were just SOLD to the first respondent.

However, the CSi3 is still available. Anyone in the NY Metro or East PA area is welcome to come pick it up for $90.

I'm also interested in selling a pair of black RTi6, roughly 7.5/10 with some scratches and such but none that are visible from a seating position. Drivers and everything else are immaculate. Anyone willing to make the trip or meet me halfway for these can have them for $150.

Did I mention the RTi6 come with stands? Sanus Basic Foundations 24" stands. I got excited when I put them together and overtightened so there are some pressure crack-type things, but they hold the RTi6 without complaint.

Its okay I just ebayed some monitor 40's for surrounds today so I should be fine. I have monitor 50's up front, soon to be monitor 40's in back, and a csi25 center. How would the Csi3 you are selling work with that other equipment? I don't think its "voice matched" but is it much different?

It's not voice-matched, you're correct, and I can't say how not matched it is. You're probably better off catching a CS1 on closeout somewhere unless you plan on upgrading to the RTi series someday (which you shouldn't since you just bought more Monitors).

I'd love you to buy it and it's a beautiful center, but it's probably not the best choice for you.
