Determing + - terminals on Surroundbar

Hooking up my new Surroundbar was simple on the speaker side with color-coded wires but how do I know which wire to connect the + and - terminals on the receiver?

Red is positive and black or white is negative. Usually the color side is positve and black or white is the negative on AVR's. What are you hooking it up to? By the way WELCOME to Polk forum.

I hooked it as you notated and sounds great I just thought it odd that they were'nt marked. My guess is lot of people hook them up wrong and then assume that the speaker isn't very good because they have the wired reversed.

To be clear, the receiver terminals are red for positive and black is negative. the confusion derives from the fact that there are no + or -markings on the surroundbar so you are left to speculate. I guessed that the colored wires were positive and black wires negative.
