    Jstas-

Face was simply sharing a video he found interesting.

You responded with "Bah" (wtf is that all about? Uncalled for, IMO).

He responded with the goat query, with a big smiley at the end.

    You called Chevy fans retarded.

Personal attacks after that? Yeah, OK.

You should go back and read again there champ. I wrote "Bah!". Big deal. Face called me a goat. Stupid, not really funny but again, big deal. He likely knew I was going to bust his stones. No "Ford vs. Chevy" BS in there at all. But again, another Chevy guy decided to say "He is more like a sheep in Ford clothing". Which, while followed by a stupid smiley face, was a shot at me and a claim that I was upset that it was a Chevy with the time and not a Ford. Why? Because I have a history of owning Fords. I don't care how many smiley faces are there, they don't change things if the comment was off-the-cuff and intended to cause a ruckus. If I said something about your mother and followed it with a ton of smiley faces, those stupid little icons wouldn't really change how it made you fell either. Maybe that example is a bit extreme but when someone takes a deliberate shot at you with "no hard feelings", that's usually a sign that they just did or were about to insult you.

I didn't post with any intent to start a pissing contest. I posted to Face expecting a response from him which is what I got. It was a pot shot, just a stupid joke. Pot shots came later. Are you done lecturing me like you're my dad now? 'Cause I really don't care. This is an audio board, not a car board. If you want a place to discuss cars in depth, I'll send you to a place I know where you can say whatever you want without fear of incurring the wrath of moderation and you can discuss with me in depth anything you want about cars.

The funny thing is that I'm a Corvette fan. I love them! I think they are great and a blast to drive! I want one, a 1967 vintage with a 427 to be exact. Will I get it? Hopefully one day I will. And even though you and a few others think I have, I have yet to make a disparaging remark about a Corvette or it's owners. I said Chevy fans were retarded because the whole Chevy vs. Ford thing IS retarded. I dislike the attitudes and I don't think the 'Ring time is worth this hype. See, like what everyone else is doing, I expressed my opinion. Since very few people...well, no one, really, agrees with me, I'm a big meanie. I think the ZR1 is snazzy. It's about time GM go with the program and put out something that could trounce the competition. Chrysler has been doing it for 15 years with the Viper and Ford beat up on Ferrari again, with the same formula, for the second time. Thank God Chevy finally did something. Maybe they will have the stones to go racing like Ford and Chrysler have. I'd love to see LeMans be swept by the Americans in all categories including a GM powered Cadillac or a Ford powered Panoz in LMP.

So lay off already, I'm not changing my opinion and I didn't set out to piss in anyone's Wheaties. I was giving Face a hard time and he took it that way, as I figured he would. Everyone else got their panties in a bunch.

Oh and here's a few smiley faces and no hard feelings, eh? :):eek::cool::rolleyes::mad::p:D:(:o:):D:D

    Yeah, whatever dude.

Look at you! Taking a post not meant for you to heart!

Good job there guy! I'm proud of you! Way to take things out of context and get your feelings all hurt over it. That's the second time you did this in this thread! Wanna go for a third?

    JSTAS,

If your a corvette fan you really should "pony" up and get one. I hear they are giving away new Iphones with each new ZR-1. Just Kidding!!!!!

And you are correct, forget about paying MSRP as I tried writing a check for one. No dice. They will go for much higher than that, which saddens me since I refuse to pay the ransom.

A fast Corvette, I think. It doesn't matter to me how fast Corvettes are, as I'm not old enough to really enjoy one. What are the rules on that? I think the minimum is 45, but the optimum age is still 55.

My hair isn't cooperating, either. It is never going to be gray enough to get full use of the old-**** ponytail. :(

-- the vette vid is so cool -- it bottoms out a couple times also which scrubbed some time off

Sure wouldn't wanna crash & burn in a "street" car at 180 though

I think they made the new frame out of Aluminum to drop the weight. I wonder if it helps in a high speed crash :p

Whats funny is sometimes I forget that the vette is a "supercar" which I guess it is.

I don't read car rags so I don't keep up on all the performance stuff but when I think of vettes I allways think of the ones my friends had with chrome side pipes and 8 track players, you know more of the hot rod thing than sports car thing.

But I guess now days it is more of a sports car.

I think I would still have to put side pipes on it though:D

That ZR1is 500 lbs LIGHTER and 30k more expensive than the GTR. The GTR Spec-V (non production) will more than likely come out as production within the year. Still, for those who love the Nurburgring times and consider it when choosing a car, is 10k per second worth it?

Granted: I have always loved Corvettes and would love the chance to take one for even a nice low-speed cruise. It is one hell of a lot sexier than the space-ship that is a GT-R.

Edited: Lighter car, more power. But I think 2.8 seconds over 22.8 km isn't a hell of a lot considering.

You should check the facts out a little better....The ZR1 is WAY lighter than the GTR

    GTR=3830

let me know when you guys want to talk about some classics which by the way for $8,00 you can get one bad ride that will turn alot of heads. I think $8000 is less then both cars? :)

What do you mean by bad? Bad handling, bad throttle response, bad what? :D

Yes, for $8k you can get something nice, but they obviously won't be in the same league.

It's not a lot, and a testament to the handling of the GT-R that it can overcome its overweight. V-Spec should be able to fix that, 300lb less and more hp, although it's still going to be too large of a car.
