I just realized, I totally forget what my system sounded like. It has been packed up and unavailable for about 3 months and at this point it will be a totally new system when I get it back. Wow, a new system for the cost of moving. Excellent!!!

Same boat. Assuming the movers don't wreck my stuff I will have my "new" system in a little over a month. Living at my parents home (they are on vacation) for now and all they have is a pair of Bose Intralux speakers. They sound like crap compared to my Polk setup.

It sucks, doesn't it! At least I don't have to listen to bose. :) When I think of the movers with my stuff I just cringe. I saw a moving fellow carrying my Manley preamp on one arm to the truck and toss it on the top of a pile of other junk. I just turned around and walked away... It will either show up in perfect condition or be lost forever.

Oh man I totally understand this. I was away from my system for a month or so and was blown away when I returned! Time away is the cheapest tweak I've ever experienced!

Its gotta be better than my Samsung TV speakers.

I hope you took the full value, no deductible like I mentioned.

I would have unpacked the baseball bat and whacked him on the head. Best of luck for a safe delivery.

Somewhere there is a storage area with a nice system. I'm dying to hear some dixieland. Funny, I'm not missing video at all. The 27inch Sharp tv in the apartment seems just fine.

My parents have a 42" LCD compared to my 36" CRT. But my wife hogs the TV wherever I go so it doesn't matter. I just miss my music. The Bose system is where the TV is so I don't even get to listen to them much. Headphones are my main outlet for now.

BTW, I videotaped everything and will file a claim if anything is missing or broken.I also had most of the packing material so most should survive. I didn't have one for my CSi5 and didn't see how it was packed because I was busy elsewhere.

My company forced me to use Atlas. This was the second time I used them and there were some minor problems this round. The first time they hit my house with their truck. Advice to all: stay away from Atlas. I hear Mayflower is the best.

    Hope your move goes well.

Good luck with the move guys. I hope all is well with your equipment. Making claims with the insurance companies is always a crap shoot. Read the fine print. Zero deductable, actual replacement value is the way to go. It should be scheduled with your home owner's insurance also. Just don't depend on the policy to cover you. Make sure they know you have expensive, special audio equipment, serial numbers, etc. Document, document, document!!!
