So much for moving there when I retire.

Does that include cheating girlfriends who are as good as dead but come crawling back after they realize the guy they left you for is just a doosh?

The argument is that when a person dies it's not a person anymore and hence it doesn't "belong" to anyone. So how can you charge for a crime when it's not comitted against anyone or anything being taken from anyone? I don't agree with that argument, but that's what it is. There are states out there who don't have legislation for this. We have it now because 3 creeps actually tried to do it.

And if I'm reading the article right, they didn't even commit necrophilia. They just attempted to do so. That would seem to make the whole sordid affair even hazier.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

True, but we have attempted murder laws, so I guess this would fall into that type of category where they was intent to commit a crime but they got caught before the deed was done. I'm pretty sure they admitted to their intent, otherwise I could imagine it might be hard to prove.

OK. So does the dead person need to testify that it wasn't consensual?

Isn't this common sense. Unfortunately it's taken this long (200+ years) for the public to find out that it's been going on.

It looks like two of the perps are brothers, but looking at the pictures,
I would swear that sombody just photoshopped long hair and glasses
on the middle picture to make the third guy. WAAAY too creepy.
