Want to Buy DSW Pro 500!
Hi,
i am planning to get the DSW pro 500 Subwoofer to compliment my new Rti A5.But i am not seeing any reviews on that.
I dont get SVS or HSU subs here, so please suggest will DSW pro 500 be a overkill or should i go for PSW 125/PSW 110.
I will be connecting it through Linelevel inputs as my Receiver has only a passive sub speaker connection.
If i connect my passive sub wire from the Receiver to the Line level input, and let the mains be connected through the Receiver itself and Keep
Subwoofer:Yes
Cross over - 80 hz
Front: small
Surr: small
will it work this way?
or
i have to connect the main speakers through the sub (the normal line level inputs) keeping
Subwoofer:No
Cross over - 40 hz
Front: Large
Surr: small
Thanks

Both the DSW and PSW will pound. Being the DSW is more expensive, it pounds much harder and can be changed from down-firing to front-firing. The PSW's are only front-firing. Wooden or carpeted floor? How big is the room? If it's wooden floor, PSW would do just fine since it'll reflect so much and if you get DSW, the default is down-firing and change it to front as down might sound too boomy. Should go and listen to it in a store!
