Yep, that's right. 218 MPH at Nardo for this fancy pants "limo". This is the epitome of wretched excess. But DANG! Does that not look sweet screaming along like that? The Mayback 57 is enormous to begin with so a beast of that size breaking the double-century mark is quite impressive.

This picture might be huge but it just looks so awesome!

A friend of mine bought a kleemann modified benz with over 500 horsepower for less than $100k. It's a 2 seater. I'm not sure of the exact model.

Wow, yeah, that is a beauty. I remember reading a little about it and seeing pictures of it a good while back. Never knew it was going to be available to buy, though.

    Sweet!

I was all set to get this car but it's the only one and it's black. I don't want a black car. Oh well.

If you believe that I have some ocean front property in Tennessee I will sell cheap.

I don't think so. Two cars, completely different leagues. The Maybach Excelero is a car tipping the scales at over 5800 pounds and it does 212 MPH. Gets from 0-60 in less than 4.5 seconds courtesy of a 360 cubic inch twin turbo V12 putting out a conservatively estimated 700 brake horsepower and over 750 pound feet of torque and it coddles you in the best luxury Mercedes can whip up. I don't imagine it will turn so well what with a seemingly 9 mile long wheelbase. But still, different purpose.

The ZR1 is a sports coupe is tipping the scales at 3350 pounds and pushing 638 horsepower, 604 ft-lb torque with a top speed of 205 mph, actual performance numbers aren't released yet. But 0-60 times in the low 3 second range are expected and testing at Nurnburg already showed lateral G capabilities over 1.0g. Luxurious? No. Purpose built and ready to take on any race track? Yes. But honestly, the Maybach Excelero looks like will out run it at the top end.

Yeah, if I'm spending the coin for that Mayback Excelero, at that point Corvettes are small time chumps. There hasn't been anything competing on that level of luxury, cost and exclusivity since Auburn, Stutz and Duesenberg prowled the streets.
