Right now I am looking for a receiver to power my RTi8(front) RTi6(rear) set up.
I have been looking at refurbished equipment and saw that i can get a marantz 5001 or a HK AVR 347 for about the same price any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help

Both Marantz and HK make nice receivers. They sound similar, so i would buy for features that fit your needs. Video switching is a big thing for some, but not others. Preamp outputs for external amps down the road is a smart feature to look for etc.
Do your research carefully and buy enough receiver to last awhile, since upgrading gets expensive from the depreciation of new gear.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

Welcome to the Club Polk Forums!! Take the advice from another Schwartz (me:)) and buy the Marantz. I think Accessories4less.com has refurbished units. Good luck with your selection!Carl
