I have a friend who wants to get a wireless surround setup. Of this I know nothing. Is there anything out there that works halfway decently?

HSU just introduced a new sub that is wireless. It certainly has what it needs to perform well. (15" woofer, 1000 watt amp, in a fairly small package.)

We are definitely not talking about someone who cares about SQ here. Are any of them better than crappy?Sharp Elite 70

Bose offers rear wireless surrounds. That coupled with a wireless sub and polk surround bar may not be to bad for close to wireless.Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)

wing,
Is your friend specifically only wanting the surrounds to be wireless? The layout of my great room prevents me from using my surrounds wired, so I had to resort to using this <http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/pc-36-5-rocketfish-wireless-rear-speaker-kit.aspx>. It works fairly well for surround duties, and Audyssey was able to compensate for the delay it introduces so I have no complaints. However, I will be going wired in my gameroom as soon as I run wires for the surrounds in my attic. -

I'm using this as well since our living room is open on 3 sides, I can't run wires above the ceiling, and there's no basement. Other than the occasional loss of synch between the sender and receiver I have no complaints. When that happens you just press a button on the receiver and they synch again. SQ isn't the best, but much better than the Accurian powerline solution this replaced.
