With gasoline the way it is,what's everyone doing today?

Me,,wifey is working,,I'm going over to a friends house that I've known since high school,,for a cookout and then his fireworks show, with the traditional playing of "the Banner" by Hendrix at Woodstock. Over the years his neighbors have been conditioned for this ritual of pure debauchery.

Have a SAFE and fun filled Fourth,,, or Fifth,, whichever applies.:)

    Happy July 4th to everyone.

Staying home; grilling some ribs, having some beers, and at 10 pm sit in the deck to watch Kings Island's fireworks. We live 3 miles away and the show is spectacular.

Grilling on the Charles river and watching the show from the boathouse deck situated perpendicular to the barge where the cluster of boats are. If you are ever in Boston for the 4th, the show is amazing.

I will also be on the Charles. First time I've ever actually been in the immediate area for the fireworks, despite living here my whole life.

You won't be disappointed. The Cambridge side is better if you just want the fireworks, the Boston side is great if you are spending the whole day. If possible, take the MBTA in to Kendall, and walk through the campus. I'll be on the MIT boathouse deck. Happy 4th!

The fireworks were great in Boston, as always. I just wish I had been there.
The finale was intense. Filled my whole screen.

Fireworks were amazing. We started getting over there late, so we were stuck on the Boston side with the crowds, but found a decent s pot on Storrow to watch them where we could see everything but the lowest ones.

Unfortunately there was NO wind so by the end of the show you could barely see most of hte fireworks through the cloud of smoke, but still, an amazing show. The finale was absolutely incredible. I, not surprisingly, especially love the sound. Jsut constantly being buffeted with those loud shots one after another is very fun.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
