LOL, Sorry for your painful mistake George. I got one of those sets years ago, used the pen to close on my house. Nice pen, but I get the most comments on my Uniball pens.
Every customer that uses it to sign my paperwork, always says "NICE pen"

I have a number of Cross pens around the house but have been using nice Parker Pens for several years. Just purchased a vintage Parker 75 that I like a lot.

George, you're killin' me! Yesterday my wife told one of her friends that I once gave her a pair of (really good) hiking boots for her birthday. It was a long time ago, the swellings down and the marks have gone away. Better to get hit with pens.

I reminded her that she was fresh from Arkansas and probably didn't have any shoes yet. Not very smart either. :D

Pens. The one thing most likely NOT to be around long. I use only
cheap pens. When in hotels out on the road, I grab one every day.
Holiday inn and Marriott rule my desk top. Any good pen seems to stick
around only a couple of days. Free ones hang around a while.

I have three Waterman pens, but have really never used them.

I had one of those fisher space pens that I used for quite a while. I really enjoyed that one.

The problem I have with most Cross pens is they're too skinny for my gargantuan hands.....

I'm a big fan of the Dr. Grip Gel Pilot pens.......good thickness, love the gel ink, and they feel pretty solid. Another company makes something similar called the PhD, but I don't like their cheap metal clip part that tends to bend and look **** after a while.......

I've used Cross pens for many years. A while ago, my brother made me a pen out of some exotic wood. It was some kind of kit that came with all the hardware. The pen is absolutely beautiful and very, very heavy. I found the nice grip and feel of the smooth hardwood, couple with the weight makes a nice writing instrument. The Mont Blanc pens are nice, but they are almost like jewelry. I'd be afraid of losing a platinum, jewel encrusted pen. Especially if you have the matching watch:D

I don`t want bling, just a fine writing instrument..!!

    I agree with Chuck though....

Sometimes the cross pens are kinda skinny and hard to hang on to, but I have adjusted to it

I agree with the suggestions above and like someone said the Cross is too small for my hand too. I use a Cartier Diablo ball point all the time. Nice weight, fits my hand well and cool looking too.

I prefer cheerful pens to cross ones...

In seriousness, Cross pens are nice but are too slender for my taste. I prefer a thicker barrel (I can hear Beavis and Butthead snickering already...)
