Well, I did convince him to get rid of the accoustamass unit and get a real sub (he did). He knows my aversion to bose and told me last night he was trying to hook 12 g speaker wire w/ banana plugs into those tiny 2 part bose surrounds. LOL, I know but he broke one of the bose cubes so now he wants small HT speakers. Anyone know any good ones? I told him he will have to go larger then bose but is there anything out there that is smallish? I was thinking the Klipsch Qunitets? Anyone have any other suggestions?

Oh quick add. I suggested getting 3 rti4's and putting the bose's in the rear. Those rti4's are beutiful imo with thier real wood vaneer.

Usher s520. Smaller than the Rti4's and will totally smoke them. In fact they would probably beat out any of the Rti's. I have had the rti 6's and the S520 is so far ahead. They sound as big as floorstanders in a very small package. Very nice to look at as well.

Does he want sat.'s or bookshelves? What's his budget?
IF he's got $1,000, and want's sat.'s the Focal htib ROCKS! For 1/2 that he can get the RM6750, which is also good.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Fry's electronics has Polk RM6750 5.1 set on sale for $200 every other week. They are small and probably sound better than the acoustimass system. Not bad for 200.

Sitting here right now listening to Harry Manx on the 6311's. Just sounds so sweet and enjoyable to me. Very well balanced, possessing the excellent coherence that you get from a 2 way, and yet still has the detail that one would get from a multi-driver setup. Totally non-fatiguing in the upper frequencies with my current gear as well. They are also fairly small and very nice to look at.

Personally, I'm itching to upgrade my Energy Connoisseur C-3 to these.
