Decided on RTI A9, very impressive
Hey, I've been into speakers for a long while now, and have slowly been working my way up the audio scale. I'm going into my final year of college and have just purchased Polk RTI A9s. And I'm very impressed.
I did home demos with all of these:
- RTI A9
- Klipsch rf-83
- Paradigm Monitor 9
- Def Tech BP7004
- B&W 683 series
And the Polk, for the price, was by far the best sounding in my home theater room.
I'll put up some pictures later tonight, there is not much info about these around the internet.
For now, I have the RTI A9 paired with a CSI3 center and older polk bookshelves for the sides and rear.
Looking to get the CSI A6 + FXI sides (a4 or a6)

I'm using an Adcom GFA7000, only has around 130 watts per channel. But I never listen above reference levels, and so far have heard no distortion so I'm happy.
I might buy a pro amp to get up around 200 for the two A9s. I just have to find the space for it. -

Here are some pics, note that after the pictures were taken the towers were moved 16 inches from the wall. Any further yields no difference, and any closer to the wall they start to get boomy.
