Should I turn my subwoofer off?

I bought a set of Polk speakers for my computer and was just wondering if I should turn the speakers including the subwoofer off when my computer is not in use. The instructions that came with the speakers do not address this and I was just wondering if it shortens the life of the power supply in the subwoofer to leave them on all the time. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't ever turn my computer audio system off. When it is not actively processing audio there is very little strain on the electronics. Electronics are often quite happy just humming along at idle. Power-up time is the biggest stress as they get whacked with any inrush currents and have to come back up to idling temps.
