Wow, what a whirlwind day. I just picked this up early this morning and had a brief listening session before my girlfriend came home - and absolutely ripped me a new one. She's pretty understanding about audio gear as she enjoys it, but she has a big say in the looks department. Needless to say, she doesn't like the vintage look of the Carver. I, personally, love it, but as it was kind of an impulse buy, I figured letting it go before I fall completely in love with it is the best course.
Carver M-1.5t - SOLD
350w per channel into 8 ohms
This one is in great shape and was bought from the original owner, who was 70 years old and hadn't used it much at all. The face is very clean with a few minuscule nicks and the top of the faceplate has a few nicks visible in the photos. Overall, this is in very solid shape and would definitely go for more on Ebay or Agon. But I figured someone here could use something powerful.
PM me with any questions.

Did you say girlfriend? She's gotta go!!! Just imagine what it would be like being married to her. On a serious side, can't you position it where it's not so visable/offending to her?
Good luck -

I don't wanna start any problems here, but on your other thread --> http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69528 you said you bought the amp for $260, now your selling it a day later for $275. I know you have the right to do whatever and its still a good deal.... but it'd be even a better deal for the polkies here to get the same great deal! Anywho best of luck selling it.

Regardless, if things are like that at home now...just wait"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I know, she can be tough, but she actually puts up with just about anything. She's been really non-complaining lately about every other piece so I don't feel completely devastated, especially since I haven't had a chance to get attached to this one yet (maybe I should have bought it when she was away for a few days).
I know that all the lights are working because I've seen them come on when I auditioned the amp at the guy's house (surprising that the 70 year old didn't mind) on his old Dynaudio's. This is really a sweet amp that hasn't seen a hard life at all.
As far as the $275, I only did that because I had to drive about 35 minutes each way to pick it up and with a Toyota Sequoia, that's at least $15 in gas. Anyone that knows me knows I want to give people a good deal. I definitely don't care about making money on this one.

I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
That amp has reserves of much more than 350 wpc; it will hit up to 600 wpc into both channels at 8R for significant amounts of time (several minutes) and will actually steer between channels to produce up to 750 wpc as long as the total output is less than 1200 watts. What a brute!TNRabbit
