I am in the market for a racing game. Most common will play head to head with friend sitting in theater. I hardly ever go online with 360. Which game is king?

Forza Motorsports 2 hands down. -
I'd suggest DiRT and GRID, but they are not viable options for gaming on the same console with a friend.
PGR 4 is also very fun. -
Forza 2 hands down. GRID is cool, but realistically Forza is the winner. I like the PGR series also, but I found PGR2 to be the best of that series. But that is an original xbox title.

Okay I am going for Forza 2. Sweet and thanks for the tips.My Main Gear

Screw all that realism! BURNOUT PARADISE!
Incidentally, look in the used section of your local Gamestop/EB Games. For $15, you should be able to find a combo pack with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. For $15 for 2 games, you just can't complain.Equipment list:
Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights

Thanks Kunta. I picked up the bundle. Not too sure if I care about Marvel Alliance but for $20 delivered who can argue? My Main Gear

I didn't think I'd care for Marvel:UA that much either... but I've actually spent more time with it than Forza 2 so far! Really fun game that you can just jump into, and a freakin' blast with a couple of friends.Equipment list:

Okay Kunta, I received my games. I went to play Forza and inadvertently popped in the wrong disk since they were in the same package. I started playing UA and am totally hooked. I probably have logged about 15 hours since I got it last weekend. The funny part is that I still haven't even looked at Forza. I used to collect comic books as a kid so know the story lines and love the costumes and powers. What a blast! Anyway, thanks for the heads up or I never would have discovered this kick **** game.My Main Gear

Heh... As a comic fan, you'll love it! Lots of references to familiar plotlines... and the trivia game in each chapter is a nice touch.
The real magic is hopping online for some co-op play though. I've had a blast with it! Even bought the heroes and villains pack so I could play as Nightcrawler and Venom.
So you know: At the end of the game, the final cutscenes you see are based on whether you completed all the side missions. Things that you might have thought didn't matter are given a context... like if you don't find someone's sword, you see a cutscene explaining that they died because they didn't have it. It's a nice touch. Had I known, I would've paid more attention to the side quests!Equipment list:
