The list gets posted Tuesday night, 1 July, 8PM EST.

I'm sorry I've been such an **** about this, but some bad/good stuff happened. I was telling somebody yesterday, I go out for a sandwich and I come home with 2 or 3 dozen more beauties. It's like a freakin' curse I tell you. So that is both good and bad. last weekend my body failed me and I was flat on my back for Saturday and Sunday. Arthritis or beri beri is my guess. THAT was very bad with zero good aspects. None.

Then Friday the 27th of June, I went to work, and I came home and took off my flying suit .............. FOR THE LAST F#CKING TIME! I will never, ever, put one of those on again. Monday night at 0000 hours, MAN I MEAN THE SECOND IT BECOMES TUESDAY, my 31 year, 10 month and a few days affiliation with the US Government is over. The first thing I will do (0000.1 hours) is start growing back a semblance of a real moustache, instead of this cheesy thing that has adhered to regulations, for the last 31 years ..........

Frank's gonna be proud.

Take it easy, man. Vinyl folks have more patient than any other beast :-)
I was working long overtime yesterday, came home, and slept like a pig ..... Today, another run, I wish I were 20 years younger (or older so that I could retire)!!

    Take care!!

Thanks everybody! Carl, so far the list is 5 1/2 computer pages long, with probably another 3 or 4 to go. You're going to like this.

Hey! My dad retired on the 27th also! The "party" started at 11:30 in the morning at Ott's in Delran and went well into the night, like around 11:30 at night. If I had known, I would have had you come up, even though you don't like crowds.

    "I call any Rush."

Do I know you? Comprende "PREFERRED" Customer Sale?

Thanks for the congrats on retirement. Good luck on landing any of the Rush, you'll need it.

I now predict this list is going to be a minimum of eight computer pages. On page 7 1/2 with 60-70 titles left to list. Definite Tuesday night kick-off.

For the first 24 hours of the sale, buyers will be limited to the following persons (this list will expand):

Reeltrouble1, BlueMDpicker, Ricardo, FredV, Carl, SkipF, Shack, SCompRacer, Troy the D#ck, Russ, Sophie, Starchaser, Hearingimpared (within reason), Antny, Analog97, George Daniel, Hoosier21, Fongolio, Polk65 (Where are you looney?), Audiobliss, Szhleppy (I miss Courtney. He'd order 30 lp's like he was rolling out of bed.), Keiko, Strider, Roy Munson, DaveMuell, Polrbehr, and Codder (Get a little nervous Ted? I did it on purpose.)

If I have forgotten anybody, PM me, or if you only THINK I forgot you cause you've never shopped here at Sounds Grand but think you should be treated as well as my long-time, heavy hitter patrons. Especially PM me in the last case and save a lot of trouble on the open forum. After EXACTLY 24 hours has elapsed, the sale will then be open to the general forum population. If you start calling dibs in the thread before 24 hours is up, that would not be good. End of the line or Ignore List type stuff I'd say. Do NOT PM me with requests for me to hold something for you, prior to the first 24 hours of the sale ending, unless it is YOU Wendi my dear, or Jenny McCarthy. All others are **** out of luck. I will not do that for someone who hasn't shopped here before. Take your chances with the general forum. I DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL. This is ironclad. In fact, I'd say my Ignore List is 50-50 made up of people who give me a long-winded oratory about why I should accept Paypal, and the rest are just stone asshats.

ALL YOU PREFERRED CUSTOMER GUYS: Please let me finish posting the entire list before you start posting selections. You will know the list is complete when you see the "Z"s get posted okay? I feel I should set a limit, so, 25 pieces (double lp is one piece, triple is one piece) per Preferred Customer during the first 24 hours. After that, go hog wild if you want. I'm sending everybody PM's here shortly as a reminder to tune in. I'm not comfortable starting this thing off without Tedwick checking in. He went to have some medical stuff done and I haven't heard from him in a couple days.

He's either gonna be proud or jealous.

What's cheating? Some of these guys donate a boatload of money to my charity. I don't mean SOME money. I mean a LOT of money. There are 3, 4, 5, guys on that list that are clearly in their own league, but all are great customers and should get a bonus thing.

    Make that 5, 6, or 7 guys.

Thanks Carl. Is 8PM too late for Ricardo?

It's Ted I'm REALLY concerned about. I'll call this thing off or push it back 24 hours at a time to accomodate the big man.

I think it's going to be 9 pages, and I still have two more days to get EVEN MORE...... stuff.

I'm quietly following this thread. Carl, I'm planning to cut the power to Pittsburgh Tuesday 7:59 PM. You won't have internet access for a couple hours.;)

Noted on the "No posting selections until George completes the list". This means anyone breaking this rule doesn't get to pick anything until all the rest of us law abiding customers are finished, right?

George I know Frank will be very proud. If you have any FZ availible especially Apostrophe' I would be more than happy to take them all of you hands. I 've been on the hunt for Zappa LPs for a couple of months now and I'm running into brick walls.

Thanks and congrats on your retirements and I'm glad you made it without too much physical damage!!!

Congrats on the retirement George. Now I'll have to figure out what to tell the Mrs. when I sneak out of the house to get to the office at 8PM Tues so I can hit the list before the rest of my fellow vinyl vultures pick it clean.:D

Get the Zappa out of your head, it's not happening.

Good luck Skip, I'm pulling for you.

Ricardo, YES! If somebody jumps the gun and posts a request list before the entire list comes out, that request post will not exist (in my world). Cutting the power could be pricey. It might be cheaper to have Larry get him drunk.

The genius is just so hard to come by on LP but I can't get him out of my head. If you say he's unattainable well then I bow out to the master of Zappadom!

I just heard "Catholic Girls" the other day and "Slime" and I got the big jones for FZ.

I know I'm not the list but that's ok, don't have a TT, yet.

George, congrats on your retirement. I don't know you but it sounds like you may have been military? I retired after 21 in 96 after being haze gray and underway compliments of the US Navy. It sure was nice getting my letter a couple years back telling me my 30 was done and don't owe anything anymore.

There is something to taking that uniform off for the last time. And I, like you, grew my **** star moustache into something that actually looked like it belonged on my face, along with my hair.

Thanks for your service and salute you!

Thanks Gordon. Combined federal and military service. 8,460 hours inside air refueling tankers. I flew about 2,478 missions. That's how many I had a few weeks ago, and I only flew a couple more after that. Last mission was 17 June, refueled 3 flights of two F-16's each (Sting 21-22, Smash 31-32, Banger 41-42) from the 177th Fighter Wing at Atlantic City. That was fitting, cause I've been plugging those guys for the whole 31 years, going back to F-106's (which they used to keep so nice you could freakin' eat off them).

And my hat is off to you too! I don't do boats for 15 minutes, no less a whole career.

Gee...I haven't even fiinished listening to all of the last shipment.

Something tells me George's retirement is going to cost me a few bucks...but that's ok...I would only spend it on something else.

"rest are just stone asshats", Uhh, c'mon George tell us what you really think.

It summer on Cape Cod and things are getting a tad "hectic". I haven't been checking in as frequently so I'm glad I saw this. The wife is definitely starting to express "concern" over the resurgence in lps making it into the house so I will need to keep that in mind as I peruse your list.

Good news on the retirement and enjoy your time, now that that its yours.

Okay, I don't have to send you, Carl, Ricardo, Skip, Payton, BlueMD, Antny, FredV, Shack, HI, and that's about it. Looks like I only have to notify ted, Terry, and Roy Munson. Piece of cake. The list will have its own new thread tomorrow night.
