Description:
This is a great little EQ. You use the test tones that come with the unit to graph your rooms response. You then use their program on your PC to compensate for the issues, and you upload this info to the unit and bam peaks gone.
It has 4 different eq settings, I personally used 2, one for music and one for movies. This also has adjustable crossover points with adjustable slope to be used as a x-over. Works well in both HT and 2ch applications.
This unit does have some light scratches on the top and bottom, from being on and having items on it. Also, some people experience a system dependent hum issue, which AV123 assures me is from a ground loop. I do not experience this issue, but did in the past. It only occurred in my system when I had my fronts set to Large and Center set to No. With these settings I had other pre-amp related issues independent of the R-DES.
