Hey guys and gals I have a Apple question.Right now I have a HP laptop and want to get a new laptop. Can some one tell me why its better to get an Apple over a PC? My choice is the 13.3" MacBook 2.5GHz with 4GB DDR2 memory and 250 GB hard drive...Any thoughts on this unit? My brother who has a Mac and others have told me that I don't need any virus or spyware protection...Is this true? Thanks

Our daughter got a MacBook for college, zero problems and they teach you how to use it if you ask them. I make money working on WindoZe for business customers, I use Linux at home (no money in that).

There are some viruses for Apple/Mac, but I haven't heard of anybody catching them...

    If I got a laptop for personal use, it'd be a Apple/Mac.

It's all in what applications you use. If it wasn't for work and games, my personal option would be to run Linux. Free, easy to setup, lots of free applications, and very stable and secure. Leopard after all, is *nix platform with Apples proprietary code so they can charge an arm and a leg for their outdated hardware.
