Waassup fellas ?!! .... and ladies !

I have been trying to take care of all the business that suffered from my overworking myself into oblivion, and was a short time ago going to sell my beloved audio gear to make ends meet...or at least get within distance from each other....!

I am glad that I let the Cary V12 sit , and didn`t push the sale of her....

I decided to hook her up today and get my listen on...

WOW !

Am I glad I did !

I trid to get into the SS sound of the rig, but it just didn`t cut it....not to say it didn`t sound good, but something was missing....

...TUBES !

I had the SLP-98 tube pre running with the SS Parasound 3500 amp, and while it sounded good, what with the new tubes and newly burned in MIT Shotgun S1`s rolling the tunes out through the 9`s....it wasn`t quite right...at least not to me..

See i have the sound of a full tube rig singing in my ears from the past, and once you know how that color tastes, there is just no going back !!

So, I hope all is well with everybody...

I am enjoying some really good music today, and life is , well....good !!

Tubes Rule !

Enjoy

    yes you do !

once you do , you will never go back

I go back and forth, and while SS amps with tube pre sounds good, there is just something about a tube amp that gives it that "alive" feel

I am listening to a really good recording (Alice in Chains, live on MTV), and MAN ! does it sound good !!

Tubes.....I'm looking for a set of 300B mono's right now. I'll settle for a stereo 300B amp, but the cool factor of the mono's is in my head right now. A set of 6L6's would look good too.

do they make a 12 step program for Audioholics? I tried to join Paranoids annoymous but they wouldn't tell me where they meet.

I understand that my V12 will run 6L6`s also..

Some 300b mono`s would be real nice

If there is a 12 step program, I aint gonna go !
Then I would be missing out on the sound of tubes !

I probably should get rid of some of the "extra" gear i have though....I have become a hoarder !!

Going to visit Bear this week. I'll report on all the gear that is left after I try and wrangle some away from him.
