LSI-C no Midrange

Tweeter is working but no Midrange is being produced from the 2-5 1/4" Drivers. Any suggestions? Are the midranges blown? I cant recall pushing them hard. I have reversed the wiring and tried it on two different amps.

Make certain your brass jumper straps are in place on the speaker posts.

    Hey Tennis,

Jumpers are screwed down. I pulled out the midrange driver and directly hooked it up and it played. Any other suggestions...do I have a blown crossover?

Check all the connections to the crossover, but it sounds like it could be the issue.

Just to make sure there is a good connection, try to hook your speaker cables to the lower posts rather than the upper ones. (should not make a difference - but if the brass jumper srips are loose, you will get bass with no highs that way)

Give it a shot and report back.

Try checking the settings on your AVR. It may have accidentally gotten switched to "Small or Large".

Just wanted to comment about my Lsi Center - I never hear anything coming from the left woofer. I wish the crossover was higher to let more low-mids come through. My opinion is the right woofer does alot of work without the help of the left. If this was changed, I could see the mids coming through louder & clearer.
I am happy with the tweeter and the highs.

You are experiencing the cascaded/tiered crossover design built for the LSiC. A number of people have expressed concern over both mid-woofers not putting out the same sound. I think this is mostly by those running the speaker without grills and noticing one driver working harder than its seemingly identical brother on the other side. My experience is that with the grills on, I tend to get the focus back on the music/film at hand and forget the gear.
