Noob checking in

Hey all,

Didn't see a place to introduce, so this looks nice as any.

I'm a relative audio noob. I know what sounds good to me, and that's about it. I'm not good with the formulas, numbers, so on and so forth, which probably explains my haphazard setups at the moment, but they sound passable to me, which is pretty much what should matter, as far as i'm concerned.

But, i would like to learn. So learn me some audio.

Anyways, my current Polk ownership consists only of a set of VS-25s. Which as far as i can tell, means that i own a pair of "Rare and illustrous" speakers, which makes me feel good about myself. :cool::D

Picking up a pair of 11Ts on Saturday morning, so hopefully i'll like those as well.

    Oh... between the audio obsession, and the automotive obsession, i'm there. Been there. :D:

    I've got a Celica.... or two.... or four. Possibly going down to Louisville on Sunday to pick up a 1988 MR2. So, dont worry! My meager wages are all spoken for for probably the next few years, and i'm ok with that.

    Do you guys have any info or good links on the VS-25s? I can't seem to find much anywhere, unfortunately, not even here. :(

    Can you post pictures of them? I have never heard of those speakers.

    Welcome to Club Polk concealer404! We love audio and there are a lot of good people on this Forum to learn about all types of audio equipment, troubleshooting, setup, music, etc. Be patient, someone may chime in with some info you are looking for. Also, try the search function in the Forum toolbar. You can find a lot of info there.

    In this thread is the only pics i can get my hands on right now. But they're the same speakers.

    Little bright sounding, but great imaging/stage as far as i've messed with them at the moment. I would imagine they would sound better on my main setup, but for now they're just fine on the Pioneer.
