Tannoy Sensys DC2
I'm looking into getting a set of these http://www.tannoy-speakers.com/s.php?product=130&title=Sensys+DC2&s=32 from my local hi-fi shop. Pretty good price too. I was also looking at getting the matching speakers for my HT set-up. But thinking really hard about just the DC2's for a 2 channel system. Your thoughts?
btw....I'll still be employing my SDA's in a 2 channel system.

They'll work great for HT. As for 2ch, you may need a sub for a larger room.
I have 4 pairs of Tannoy's here, so you could say I'm a fan."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
specs show they dip to 34hz so I'm thinking that may be deep enough. I could be wrong and if I am I have a PSW1000 I could use in a 2 channel set-up. Or I could swing a new sub that is a little faster.
I also have access to the matching center and rear surrounds if I wanted to use them in HT set-up.

The DC2's can go deep, well enough for most CDs. Very revealing, clean and focused sound. I've used them without subs.:p
You'd be hard pressed to find better speakers at their price range.:DGear: Rotel RC 1082, Rotel RSP 1068 pre/pro, Rotel RMB1077 amp, Cayin CDT 15a CD player, S301 bluray.
Speakers: Tannoy DC sensys speakers, Paradigm Servo15 Sub, Velo Spl-1500r
Conditioner: Isotek -
I also like how they went back to paper cones. They definitely sound better than the plastic cones that were used for the last 10+ years on the lower models."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

The concentric plus the super tweeter really make these babies sing. I auditioned these with my Jolida 801 & a Music Fidelity CDP and it was sweet. I'm torn between getting these and adding the matching center and surrounds for my HT set-up...or just using these in a 2 channel set-up and going with something different in the HT.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with Tannoy. Very nice speakers.
