Wow. I am overwhelmed. I had no idea that the response to my plea for prayer would be so amazingly enormous. I've only met one person on this forum and corresponded with a few via email and phone, but I never would have thought the outpouring of support would be so large.

You really are true friends. I am so very grateful for your encouragement, support and care. I've just now had the time to take a peek at this page and I was and am so moved by how many have responded. Truly, thank you so very much.

Here's what has happened. My mother & father, both elderly, were climbing the stairs together when my dad blacked out. (He recently had surgery to correct a heart valve issue that has, by this episode, proven unsuccessful). Falling backward, he pulled my mother down the stairs with him.

My father is alright (now has a pace maker), but my mom broke her spine and had bleeding on her brain, which quite quickly took her life. All of this took place while my family and I were on vacation. We have now arrived at my folk's home (LA) and have begun attending to my dad and the many details of my mom's funeral.

As for me, I'm doing well. My mother lived a long and wonderful life, loving the Lord with whom she'll spend the rest of eternity. Yes, I will miss her and no doubt go through some emotional ups and downs, but I wouldn't bring her back ( except maybe to say 'goodbye') for anything.

Again, thank you so much, my friends. You have really touched and blessed me.
