Was this movie any good? I've got it coming in from netflix. I figured it was worth a watch, but I hope it's not a complete ****.

I've not read too many good things on this one but I've also read some good, I plan a blind Blu buy tomorrow. I don't care about story, acting, plot...ect. Just a turn your brain off and enjoy the ride type and this looks to deliver that.

I did a blind blu buy on Amazon. Haven't got it yet but will advise how it is when it arrives.

Watched it, enjoyed it. A fun mindless ride. Some great visuals and the TrueHD track was excellent. Just too bad they didn't rub some black shoe polish on those bright white teeth.

I didn't think the TrueHD track was anything special. Visuals were OK, but not great. The only good part was the main chick.

You should like it then Steve, I'm the same way and enjoyed it. Then again, I also enjoyed Battlefield Earth and that's about as cheesy as it gets.

Blah, just found out that the hot chick in this movie doesn't even have blue eyes in real life.

No, it's WAY beyond that. Everyone involved tried to take the project WAY too seriously. This thing is beyond bad.

Also, count me among those who actually liked movies like Battlefield Earth and Bloodrayne.

In the Name of the King and especially Bloodrayne were so bad that they were enjoyable. 10KBC was so uninspiringly mediocre that it was awful. BD was out so I rented a SD...not a very clean transfer with a soft focus on my upscaled Oppo...disappointing when there was no eye candy either.

I just watched this one on blu. It was not terrible. There were a few redeeming scenes. All in all I rate it an average to below average.

Rented this last week on BR. Story was really silly. Was the so called god supposed to have been from Atlantis or what? I'd rate it a 3 0f 10 just for the visuals.

10,000 BC could have been really good. The potential with story line was there and acting wasn't that bad. A few refinements with the details in plot and better than 1996 graphics would have made it worth 4 stars. I give it 2.
