Polk RTA12s for sale in Philly area $75

There is a pair of Polk RTA12s for sale in Philly area for $75. One is apparently missing the top grill, still at this price might seem to be a good buy... not affiliated with the seller. linky here...

    Good price, but the grill top gone on those would bother me. It's a great way to pick up some GREAT polks.

    Has anyone used these. I live in Philly and am debating the trip out there. Looking for any info possible. Do they play nice with lots of electronics? Also, should the tweeters/woofers be upgraded? If this is a quality project, I may just do it.

    jump with both feet, don't look back, just jump. For $75 you can't go wrong.I own the 'c' version and I have read here that they would sound better with the recommended tweeter upgrade. I think they sound damn nice as is, admittedly I am a bit of a Hi-Fi noob. I use mine as the mains in my HT but they get plenty of use in 2 ch stereo mode. I use a HK AVR 230 which is only 65 watts I think. I've heard that they can take tons of wattage. Good Luck. Let us know how they sound when you get them home.
