I caved into the infomercials, plus I have a lot of free time coming up. Plus the ads seemed honest, in that ' this will take you 8 hours a week and a change of diet', none of that '20 minutes a week' nonesense. Or 4 minutes a day (wtf). Anyone else giving this a go?

I was thinking of taking a picture of me flexing every day in the same pose for like 90 days, and then make like a 2 minute movie of it with Dragon Ball Z power up music playing. Cus that would be sweet.
My Iron Man training/charity blog.

It's just an exercise video. It may have some different moves or ideas, but the important part if exercising more and eating less. But good luck with the exercise and keep it up. There's nothing more important than being healthy enough to enjoy/live your life.

BTW. This video may help you shave some body fat and tone muscle, but you're not going to get ripped with big muscles. Weight is the only way to get that.

Its pretty good. The annoying part about it is using the bands. I also got too bored with the yoga.

How did it go? Did you finish? Did you like the results?

I'm on day 2 and both days kicked my arse bad. The program so far seems very well thought out. 88 days to go. Waaaaaah!

I wouldn't blame you if you didn't finish. It's tough.

My buddy has done this pretty hardcore I think. He was 5'8" 220 pounds. Now he's around 170-175. He's been eating a little more healthy, but it's mainly for the P90X. I'm in good shape because I do landscaping everyday, but there is still some stuff in the vids. that is tough. After seeing him transform himself, I would recommend it. He doesn't do the yoga, btw.

I bought this last fall. Never stuck with it, so far got through one week last fall and almost 3 weeks a month ago. Will go for 1.5 to 2 months next run. I do like it a lot though, it is tuff. Need to start up again soon, I feel horrible when I don't exercise much. I still do push-ups, pull-ups and other stuff when not doing the videos so its not a total loss for me.

Week 13, day 6! I'm finished!!! Celebrating with a Shiner Hefeweizen. Near the end, I got tired of inserting the DVD's, pressing Play, and seeing Tony Horton. Psychologically draining and a large time committment but I'm glad I did it because I look and feel so much better.

The biggest benefit of this program for me = having a routine created for me which created a whole new lifestyle (actually, back to my active college lifestyle). All I had to do was show up. If I ate badly that day, my body would cry bloody murder during the workouts so I ate as cleanly as possible. If I was low on energy, I would have a bad workout so it forced me to make sure I got plenty of rest and sleep (as much as possible for someone who has to deal with being oncall in the IT world).

If you lack the motivation and discipline, as long as you can show up 6 days a week and hit Play, this program will work for you. One of the guys at work is also doing this so we kept each other committed. In other words, having a workout partner, while not necessarily there with you, will help with accountability.

Wife thinks I look hot. :D

Taking 2 weeks off and will start round 2 modified for my favorite sport - cycling.

Good luck to those of you who are on this program or are attempting to turn your life around.

    Best Wishes
    ~Fat

I have at tried P90x 2 times now. 1 week the first time and then almost a full 3 weeks. Your right about the food, I never changed my diet and just couldn't make it. I will go for it again soon this time eating much better.

I really do like the workouts though and occasionally do some of them.

    Brett,
I didn't take a before pic so there isn't anything to compare this against but this is 3 pant sizes later, BP from 145/90 to 120/70, resting HR from 90bpm to 61, and blood sugar levels two hours after a meal down from 110 to 81.

    Howie,
You do what you can when you can. Sometimes, that means your after shot looks like someones before shot or, to be kind to yourself, your before shot was a lot worse than other people's before shots. :D

Now, I just need to survive Thanksgiving and Xmas! :p
