Quick wiring opinion . . .

I have a Raysonic CD128 and a Dodd Preamp. With the addition of my Dodd I need to rewire my system with some new Signal cable. In your professional opinion, would it be better to go RCA to RCA or XLR to RCA? Bear in mind, the rest of my system uses balanced cabling as necessitated by my Behringer XO.

Thanks

Mike

Does anyone believe the Raysonic might have better output through the balanced connections even though the system won't be actually balanced?

Unless the components run a true balanced circuit, using XLR's offers no real benefit. Therefore, the correct answer is number one. Don't believe me? Talk to the guys at BAT.

Does F1Nut's opinion trump everyone else's?

If the XLRs aren't that much of a price difference, it couldn't hurt. You MAY not gain anything, but you won't lose anything either.
