Most of you know that we have extreme winters up here, but when summer arrives it is pure heaven. To experience it is almost like a dream.
While the growing season is short, it is just a flash and the leaves are out. I kid you not. Within 2 weeks we go from buds on the trees to fully developed leaves on the trees. It always amazes me to see it happen so fast. Yes, it happens that fast the other way as well.

Anyway, we are right into the thick of things with clear skies and lots of daylight. Today and the temp right now.

Sunrise: 3:44 am
Sunset: 23:31 pm

Temp: 21C (70F) at 10:02 pm

Even after the sun goes down it never really gets dark. Have a good evening.
Michael ;)

I personally like summer for the less amount of clothes the women wear, but the weather is nice too.

Those sunlight hours are crazy--you're way up there, eh?

Yes, I love summer. I was a Disneyland all day today, it was in the high 70's / low 80's with a cool breeze, perfect.

Mike do you have trouble sleeping with such long days? It kind of reminds me of that Northern Exposure episode.

I was just watching the Ice Road Truckers marathon this weekend and they talked about the end of the season when it gets warm real fast and the road melts.

Never. When I am tired it's lights out. Most people do put rather dark blinds, shades, curtains.... in their bedrooms to help with the extended daylight. My only problem is sitting on the back deck at midnight and forgetting that I work in the morning.

Exactly. The midnight golf tournament is this month. Tee off - starting at midnight. I think they bring in extra beer carts that night so the question is, "Are there more golf carts or are there more beer carts that evening." Good question.

must be a little warm in the igloo, be careful not to slip.
