i'm trying to find an electrical device that lets say i wanted to wire 3 devices that would be selectable by either a switch or buttons. And yes this is confusing so let me just tell you what im trying to accomplish. I am building something and i need to be able to make 3 light bulbs light up. BUT not at one time. i would like to be able to have a device that if i push button A the first light will come on. if i push button B , light B will turn on and so on. also, it needs to be fairly simple because well so am i:) and it cant be ordering online because i need to build it (for cheap) in a day or two tops. any ideas guys?

Are you also saying,
"If I push button A, Light A comes on
THEN
If I push button B, Light A goes out and Light B comes on", etc ?
Also, what voltage lights are we talking ?
Want to make it fancy (low voltage control, line voltage lights) or .... ?Sal Palooza -

Does it have to be 3 separate switches? What about a 3 way rotary switch?

You need to know what kind of voltage, load and amperage he's going to be dealing with. If it's not rated for the use, at best it'll fry, at worst...

AdamRagland, you're teasing us, aren't you ?
You know that there are anal Polkies on here who have already designed, gone out and bought parts, built, tested, and commisioned every variant of the design you may be looking for, just based upon your brief question ?
