I've got Fresh Cream, Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire. None of them say 'remastered' on them. Does anyone have the remastered versions, and does it say 'remastered' on them? The SQ of the ones I have is lacking, except for maybe Fresh Cream. I'm wondering if the remasters are any better.

Disraeli Gears is a really bad transfer, the CD I have was made in the 80's so I haven't heard any of the remastered CDs but most of the time they are recorded really hot. I don't have it on vinyl so I can't comment but I have an original copy of Wheels of Fire on Vinyl and it's only fair as far as sq goes.

Bummer. Those are classics. They would be awesome with audiophile SQ.

Yeah, those are great albums, Cream is one of my favorite bands of the era.

The Disraeli Gears CD is marred by a wall of analog hiss..I haven't heard the LP in many years as the one I had came up missing a long time ago so I don't have it to compare.

If anyone is into Cream the Royal Albert Hall CD is top notch!

oop's sorry,, thought you were talking about vinyl,,so I pulled out my old copy of DG,,and it sounded much better than I remember,, I wonder hoe the 180 gram version is from lusive disc?

The Cream vid is very good IMHO,,also,if you are into Clapton,,23 nights ain't bad either.
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I purchased Disraeli Gears a year ago from Best Buy's bargain CD bin ($7.99??). No mention of remastering. SQ is lacking.
