Does anybody know what receiver works better for the RI7 speakers (300 watts)? How many watts do I need to move these speakers in a well performance?, At this moment I am comparing two receivers the HK 3490 (120 watts) and the rotel RX1052 (100 RMS watts). Would you pay the double for the Rotel? I also need a receiver with A/B speaker.
I will appreciate your support with your recommendation

First welcome to Club Polk.
I don't think it would be worth double to get the Rotel. For that kind of money I would hold out for a Pre/Pro, amplifier.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I like HK because in all the tests Ive seen in magazines where they actually test a receivers power output, Harmon Kardon has always exceeded their ratings. That and they look damn cool makes them one of my favorites.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I just took my HK amp out of my rack. HK seems to always be the weakest link and I just don't buy it anymore. My Main Gear

I don't disagree with any of the above comments but in my opinion it would need to be decided from two different perspectives. I have never had a problem with my HK's "amplification" side although it only has 50 X 7 (75 X 2). That was solved by adding a separate amp (Carver). Preamp-Outs are great.
The preamplifier / processing side is a little more problematic and should be considered also. I've swapped HK / Carver combination back & forth a number of times with my Outlaw 950 / Carver combination and the Outlaw wins every time. That's not to say there is anything horribly wrong with HK processing (I believe it's better than most receivers), it just may not be fair to compare the processing in a $500 receiver to a dedicated processor.
I guess what I'm suggesting is that it shouldn't be just about the watts. The more important piece is the pre-amp / processing.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p
